Flight simulator components continue to make up the majority of our business, including cockpit shells, cowlings, and liners. Over the last 30 years, we have worked on simulators for dozens of aircraft of all sizes, including Boeing 777s, F-16s, Blackhawk helicopters, and many more.
Primarily out of composites, many of Diehl Aero-Nautical's products are built from custom tooling. Our flight simulator components start in one of three ways: molded off of an actual aircraft, from 3D computer model - IGES, STEP or CATIA, or from blueprints. In order to build molds of such a diverse range of aircraft, our technicians can travel to facilities around the country, pulling molds from aircraft of all types and sizes. We have worked on location with NASA, McDonnell Douglas, Sikorsky, Cessna, Beechcraft, Bell Helicopter, Honda Jet, the US military and many others.
